The most pleasant Halloween weather...EVER!

Honestly, we could not have asked for a better Halloween day!! It was sunny, mild, not a cloud in the sky, 60 something degrees... the makings for a beautiful day! The parade was a lot of fun, the High school did a terrific job marching and the trick~or~treaters this evening were adorable, as always! We had visits from the cutest Elmo ever, a masquerade ball maiden, an escaped insane mad scientist, a butterfly... with her Grandma dressed as a butterfly catcher walking behind her (too bad I never came up with THAT idea when my babies were little) and countless others! These were just a few of my favorites! Everyone had a great, safe time!
This Halloween was a bittersweet one for me. My daughter is old enough now, that she did not want to trick or treat and my son has lived away from home now for a couple of years. This was kinda hard for me... I was actually home to hand out candy with my husband. This was the first year that Beth didn't want to hang out with mom and dad. Fun, of course, but I wasn't walking my own kiddos around the neighborhood. Kinda sad how fast time flies!
We all had a wonderful evening and have the chance to wind down now. Guess what? Now that Halloween is all wrapped up, the holidays are upon us. I want to get into the spirit early this year just because I'm extra busy these days~ pumpkins will be put away tomorrow and slowly, I'll begin to incorporate Christmas throughout our home. I'm excited!!!
Hope everyone had a boo~tiful night!
OH! Real quick, we made the front page of the paper... Cory was interviewed about our "haunted house".... interesting and spooky facts about experiences that we've had here since buying our home. Maybe I'll post the article later!

Hi Christina,

That was great that you had a pleasant Halloween.
I know what you are saying about the bittersweet time, when the kids are no longer wanting to do the things they used to.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Lucky you to have them trick-or-treaters. We've matched our numbers from last year, Zero, zip, ziltch, nada, I guess thats what we get for living where we do.. Nobody knows we're here. More chocolate for me!!! I'll grab the paper to read about your house, sounds really cool. See you Monday!

We had beautiful weather here in SLC, alos. Mid-60's and not a cloud in the sky!

Since I wasn't in the shop today I thought about spending the day painting furniture but ended up just relaxing instead. Sometime us junker gals need to force ourselves to take it easy, right?

OH! Are you going to have ghost hunter love them! I hope your ghosts are fun for you! I'm sorry you didn't get to trick or treat this year. Kids do grow up on us. My nephew who was five on Monday told me (after a week of birthday) that he is now 6! Now that is too fast!! I cannot wait for you to share your Christmas stuff! I will leave my fall out until Thanksgiving I love turkeys and pumpkins and I don't want to put them up yet! And it's rainy here so the storage is yucky! hehe
Have a great week!
Hugs, Lisa

Hi Christina...the weather was beautiful yesterday wasn't it. Sounds like you got more Trick 'r Treaters than my parents did. I would love to see the article about the ghostly occurrences in your house...they say that Atchison is the most haunted town in Kansas....might be some truth to that.
Have a great week.

Hi Sweet Friend!

Sounds like perfect weather and shame how fast the kiddos grow up.

I don't think any kids live in my neighborhood anymore...we didn't have one kid come to the door. Seems like the kids go to festivals rather than door to door. I sure do miss seeing all the cute little one's.

Glad you got to enjoy some cute little trick or treater's in your neck of the woods.

Love and hugs,
Karyn

Wow sounds like a fun Halloween. Ours was very quiet, for a second year in a row not one kid came knocking!! The years sure do go by fast.
