I’m motivated!!!

I’ll be trying to keep myself busy this weekend!   Sorting, creating and editing for a yard sale one of these days???   :)  Maybe.  Hopefully.

I desperately need to revamp my studio again.  I’m very excited about the Where Bloggers Create party @ Karen’s~ and that room has become quite the wreck over the last few weeks .  Unorganized, neglected, oh, poor thing!  Not much has been done  in there since my silly cupcake mania phase and my V-dub swap, and I sure did make a mess…whoa!

I think I’m having art withdraws~ I am totally missing that part of my ”therapy”.  ;)

Remember, art heals!

Busy, busy!

Sent off my VW swap cards yesterday, running back to the post office again this morning, then off to story time at one of our local child care facilities.  After that, a quick lunch at Marigolds, because I can’t be busy without a tummy full of yummy!  :)  It’s my day off and I really need to get all of these things done because it’s back to work tomorrow!

Did I mention how neglected my house is?  Uh, yeah, I need to clean today, too. :(

FYI~~Class Monday night at Cottage of the Seasons… not the usual first Monday, we had to reschedule. 

I’m not sure if I’m ready to get up and going yet….

Thank you to my biggest fan!

No wonder the hubbs got me a brand new camera for my birthday!!  I needed it to fill my online shopping cart!!!  YIPPEE!!!  Yes, he believes in me SO much that he wanted to help by taking my artsy side down that scary, uncharted avenue in my life!  LOVIN’ it , now that I actually know what I’m doing…I am just getting things up and running, it’s taken me a week to organize and list a few of my pieces.  (not to mention that I am an impatient and crabby person when it comes to understanding something.)   I had no clue where to start and just wanted to give up.  :(  That had a lot to do with my slump last week!!!  Sorry ‘bout that, Cory…YIKES!  Here’s what I’ve got online so far…

I raced  home for lunch today and was SO surprised to find a package from her in my mailbox!!   I ripped it open right away and sported my new accessory!!!!  (how’d she know that I needed a smile??)

What a sweet birthday gift from a VERY sweet friend!   THANK YOU SO MUCH, L…  it was definitely a good mail day!

My Sunday was spent… getting my crafty on!

I have created yet another monster!  Don’t forget that, once I start making something that is special to me, I just can’t stop!  These are so much fun to pump out and I can see it already…this is my next crafty phase!  :)  Man, and I just got my studio organized…

Some news…. hop on over to Pam’s blog, my dear, Aries Gypsy.  She is looking for artsy folks to do an ATC swap~~ get ready for this… the theme for this swap is anything Volkswagen bus!  How cool~ considering that a big, bright orange bus with a camper pop-top was our family vehicle until I was a teenager!  :)  They hold a special place in my heart, those awesome VW buses!  Check it out and leave Pam a comment if you’d like to participate!!  I know that I’ll be busy, count me in!!!

My dear Deb at~- Sparkling Scrapbooks -~sent me a box filled with handmade and heartfelt MaGiC~

This is what was waiting next to my front door this afternoon.  OH MY GOSH!!!!!  Deb and I did an Alice swap and she absolutely SPOILED ME ROTTEN!  Look at all of this… WONDERLAND!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are so good to me!!!  I am still in awe and drooling over my new yummies!   I truly am at a loss for words to thank you!

The pictures do NOT do these pieces any justice at all.  Some of you may know that my camera is on it’s last leg.  Still, no screen… yet I had this bright idea….ready?  Since everything else was working fine, I thought that I’d try to still take pictures and upload, even though I couldn't SEE anything that I was taking a picture of!  *YIKES*  I ended up taking about 30 shots~ hoping that even if only a couple turned out, that’d be awesome… and IT WORKED!  I won’t ever know if the pictures are in focus or if I’m even capturing the desired image, but it’s getting me by, at least in the meantime.  I am so glad that you could take a tiny peek… I hope to get this dilemma remedied soon!

Doodling lately…

These are SO old, I stumbled across them  in a forgotten sketchbook of mine and recently, started to play with  them again.  I  find old works that I was really never happy with~ set aside and forgotten… picking them up again and re-working them with a fresh mind is always inspiring for me.  (Painting over the whole thing and starting over usually happens to most of them! )  I find a lot of these rejects floating around in my studio…:)
